Lutheran Day at Nationals Park

More than 30 Living Faith members joined hundreds of other DC area Lutherans for a fun day of baseball and Christian fellowship on Sept. 8, 2012. The fun event - Lutherans Day at Nationals Park - was arranged by the Metropolitan Washington, DC Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. On their way to winning the National League East title, the Washington Nationals hosted the Miami Marlins - and won the game 7-6 - in 10 innings and after a 2 1/2 hour rain delay.

Rain delay!

Before the ninth inning could begin, a powerful 4 p.m. storm hit downtown Washington, leading to a 2 1/2 hour rain delay. The Nationals trailed Miami 5-6 before the delay, tied the game in the ninth and won 7-6 in the 10th inning.
